Universal Pre-Kindergarten (UPK) brings more flexible, high-quality early learning choices for your 3- and 4-year-olds that meet your families’ childcare needs. All families in California–regardless of immigration & income status–are eligible to participate.

For Educators in the Classroom
GCOE is excited to offer professional learning opportunities aligned to the California Preschool Learning Foundations and Curriculum Frameworks. Workshops topics include the CSEFEL Pyramid model, aligning social-emotional learning with new TK foundations, and creating effective early learning environments. For Leaders
Opportunities of learning are also provided to administrators through our "Leaders of Learning" series. These series focus on practical application and observation of developmentally appropriate practices.
